A major motivator was the fact that my lunch last week of lentil enchiladas with sprouted corn tortillas, raw cheese, and avocado (by many accounts, a healthy, nutrient-dense lunch) just wasn't filling me up. I felt bloated and still ravenous. So I'm going back to a diet that focuses on meat, fish, eggs, and vegetables, with nuts, seeds, and fruit as supplementation. For now, I'm keeping dairy, but I'm considering giving up dairy next week. In two weeks, I have a conference in another city, so I'll get to attempt to keep primal on the road, but for now, I'm trying to focus on the good stuff, and not beat myself up about other things.

I've been dairy free for health reasons for almost a year and a half, now. If you need any advice on cooking with dairy alternatives, let me know. I am a frequent experimental baker/cook. I use a lot of hemp milk and almond milk...
